Teams
The fighting forces of this campaign are divided into four rough camps.
The Imperium sees a division between the Rogue Trader, Duke Meridian Armentanus, who holds nominal control over the Nachmund Gauntlet, and a faction of the Ecclesiarchy led by the Diocesan Synod of Vigilus, a council of Cardinals in exile. Ruling from Occularia, the Duke's Warrant of Trade give him de facto command of the Nachmund Gauntlet, and he holds the Sector by the throat. Meanwhile the Synod maintains that all of the Emperor's fighting men in the Sector must rightly bow to their command as it is the will of the God-Emperor Himself. Will the powerful, pragmatic Duke come to lead the Imperium's united forces or does the Synod truly speak with the voice of the Emperor?
The conflict between the Duke and the Cardinals is nothing compared to the ancient enmity that the Forces of Chaos hold for all. Daemons and renegade space marines and other horrors beside threaten to tear the galaxy asunder. Will a warlord rise to crush the Imperium? Will the dire powers of the Empyrean utterly destroy the Materium as the Great Rift continues to expand?
As humanity's empire teeters on the brink and the Ruinous Powers threaten to subsume them, there are those species who strive to free themselves and their galaxy from the tyranny and madness of it all. The Xenos may be awakening ancients, fortune-guided seers, or idealistic newcomers. Their goals may be widely divergent, whether they seek to devour the biomass of the galaxy or show downtrodden humans the enlightenment of the Greater Good. Whatever their goals may be, however, they have a common pre-requisite: break the Imperium of Man and prevent Chaos from overwhelming them.
Victory
Campaign Victory will be determined by Victory Points accrued by each team. Rather than being earned per battle, however, Victory Points will be earned by special events and by holding certain Titles. Each Title is earned by obtaining certain achievements, and each title holder earns their team one victory point as long as they hold that title.
Titles
Bringer of Apocalypse -- The Army with the best record in Onslaught-sized games is the Master of the Apocalypse
Champion of Vigilus -- The Army with the best record in Incursion-sized games is the Champion of Vigilus
Commander of the Shallows -- The Army with the best record in Strike Force-sized games is the Commander of the Shallows
Vanguard Captain -- The Army with the best record in Combat Patrol games is the Vanguard Captain
Architect of Shadows -- The Army with the best record in Kill Team games is the Architect of Shadows
Master of the Void -- The Army with the best record in Boarding Patrol games is the Master of the Void
Lord of the Nachmund Sector -- The Army with the most controlled territory is the Lord of the Nachmund Sector
Keeper of the Empyrean -- The Army that controls the most Warp Anomalies is the Keeper of the Empyrean.
The Fist of the Gauntlet -- The Army that controls the the most territories in the Nachmund Gauntlet is the Fist of the Gauntlet
The Scourge of Nachmund -- The Army that has Purged the most territory is The Scourge Nachmund
